Surfing Playa Popy and the beach breaks around Las Terrenas pick up swell most reliably from November to April. Boards and lessons are available in town.
Kitesurfing El Limón and Playa Popy are the area's known kite spots, with cross-shore wind most consistent through the winter months. Schools nearby offer lessons and gear rental.
